Deadlines and opportunities to register to vote in the upcoming State Election are as follows:

Deadlines

Mail-in registration:  Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  All mailed in voter registration forms must be postmarked by this date.  Online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on this date.

In-person registration:  Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  The voter must appear in-person to register to vote.  The Registrars of Voters will be in their Town Hall office from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on this day.

 

Registration Sessions

Tuesday, October 30, 2018:   Hours:  9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Memorial Town Hall/ Registrars of Voters Office
Limited registration session:   Monday, November 5, 2018.  Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This session is for those voters who wish to vote in the November 6, 2018 Election but have either become U.S. citizens, 18 years of age, or moved into town after the posted voter registration deadlines- and for members of the armed forces and former members of armed forces discharged with the calendar year immediately that precedes the ROV receiving a written request. 

 

 

If you have missed all of the posted opportunities to register to vote, but you would like to register to vote in the November 6, 2018 State Election - you may utilize Election Day Registration.  Election Day Registration (EDR) allows voters who were unable to attend any of the voter registration sessions to register to vote AND vote during the November Election. Those eligible to register must be residents of North Haven, 18 years of age and U.S. citizens.  The voter must appear in person. The EDR location for the November 6, 2018 State Election is: Conference Room 1, 2nd floor (elevator accessible) Memorial Town Hall/ ROV Office. Hours:  6 a.m. - 8 p.m.  Voters must bring ID.  

 

Absentee Ballots:

The Town Clerk is responsible for absentee ballots. Absentee ballot applications are available prior to any election from the Town Clerk (203-239-5321 ext. 630) You may also download an absentee ballot application by clicking on the Town Clerk’s webpage (on the town website, and clicking on “FORMS” or on the Secretary of State’s website:  www.sots.ct.gov and click on voter resources.  Once completed, send or bring the application to the Town Clerk at Town Hall, 18 Church St. North Haven, CT 06473.   Absentee ballots for the State Election on November 6, 2018 will be available beginning Friday, October 5, 2018.
