The Board of Assessment Appeals is an elected board of five members, each with a four year term. The Board considers taxpayer appeals of any changes in assessments of real property, personal property and motor vehicles in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes.

The Board meets in March of each year to hear appeals from taxpayers regarding real and personal property. It also meets in September of each year to hear appeals on Motor Vehicle assessments.
